Allan Mandelzys, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Mandelzys was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thallion in January 2010 after having served as the company’s Executive Vice President, Licensing and Corporate Development. He served as Vice President, Business Development for Labopharm Inc. from October 2000 to December 2006. He has extensive experience in the areas of pharmaceutical licensing, contract negotiations, strategic alliance management, intellectual property management and scientific operations. Prior to joining Labopharm, Dr. Mandelzys held several positions at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals Inc. (now NPS Pharmaceuticals) beginning with scientific roles of increasing responsibility and culminating as Director, Business Development. Dr. Mandelzys holds both a Ph.D. in physiology and an M.B.A. from McGill University and a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto. He received his post-doctoral training at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology.


Michael Singer, CGA

Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Singer serves as Thallion's Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. He has 20 years of senior management experience in both public and private industry; and is experienced in mergers and acquisitions, transition and growth management, strategic planning and raising debt, equity and other non-dilutive sources of capital. Prior to Thallion, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Caprion Pharmaceuticals until its merger with Ecopia BioSciences to form Thallion in 2007. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Warnex Inc. (TSX:WNX), a life sciences company devoted to protecting public health by providing laboratory services to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors and Clementia Pharmaceuticals, a privately-held drug development company. Mr. Singer holds a B. Comm from Concordia University, a graduate diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University and is a Certified General Accountant with the Ordre des CGA du Québec.


Didier Reymond, MD

Executive Vice-President, Clinical Development

Dr. Reymond leads clinical development for all phases ofThallion's clinicalprograms. Before Thallion, he was a Senior Medical Advisorwith Novartis Canada, leading the medical and clinical activities for solid tumors. Prior to that, Dr. Reymond  was Associate Director, Scientific Affairs, for the Merck Vaccine Division, Merck Frosst Canada. He was responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs for all vaccines in Canada. Dr. Reymond graduated from Lausanne University, Medical School,before working in Pediatric Surgery and completing his residency in Pediatrics at the University Hospitals of Lausanne and Bern.Board certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Reymond pursued a Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, where he conducted research activities on Verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli. Dr. Reymond completed his fellowship program at  the Hôpital Sainte-Justine, in Montreal, conducting pediatric clinical research focusing on oral antibiotics.
