Shigamabs™Partnership with LFB
In February 2010, Thallion signed a definitive development and license agreement with Laboratoire français du Fractionnement et des Biotechnologie (LFB) for payments of up to €95 million, including a €1.5 million upfront payment. LFB received commercial rights to Shigamabs® for Europe, South America and other territories of strategic interest to LFB, including Russia, Turkey, China, South Korea and Northern African countries, while Thallion retained the rights for North America and the rest of world. Under the agreement, Thallion has retained primary responsibility for the conduct of the clinical program. LFB will be responsible for the manufacture and supply of Shigamabs® for both the Phase III clinical study and commercial sale. Joint development committees comprised of members from both Thallion and LFB have been established to oversee the development and commercialization of Shigamabs®.
